Ayse Abaci

is a Turkish citizen born in Tel-Aviv. She is currently working as a French teacher in Warsaw to students ranging from 4 to 25 years old . Her family having chosen to live as institutional nomads (diplomat) she had the pleasure of living and studying in various countries such as Greece and Italy from a very young age. This made her develop an aptitude for languages and inter-cultural communication leading her to pursue an undergraduate degree in Applied Languages from the University of Lille. She also holds an Advanced Master’s degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe in Natolin.

Presently, she is working on her second Master’s degree in English Philology, specialising in teaching English as a second language at SWPS University, Warsaw. When her Qi isn’t devoted to students and studies, Ayse loves to go on long walks in the beautiful parcs of Warsaw, discover the city’s many hidden corners and have a good laugh with her friends.

She is fluent in Turkish, English, and French, also has a good level in Italian, German and modern Greek.

Hadrien Bazenet

is a graduate in political and governance studies from the College of Europe in Bruges and from SciencesPo Lyon. He currently works as a consultant for EURALIA, on financial services. Passionate about EU politics, he has a keen interests for policies involving Corsica, his region of origin.

Gabrielle Bernoville

is a graduate of the College of Europe and Sciences Po majoring in European Affairs, with work experience in Latin America, the United Kingdom and Europe. Currently acting as a Policy Assistant at the European Commission, she served as a Culture Officer in the French Embassy to Slovakia.

Victor Bonnot

is Breton and co-founder of La Regionisto. He is currently working as an accredited parliamentary assistant to a Renew Europe MEP in the European Parliament. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science, a Master’s degree in European Affairs and an Advanced Master’s degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe in Natolin.

Through his professional experience and his associative commitments, Victor has developed a genuine enthusiasm for European and French regional issues and territorial development. His main areas of interest are the EU-citizens’ dialogue as well as the political voice of local authorities in the EU decision-making process and their networking.

Stef Borgers

is a Belgian citizen who is born and raised in Mol. He discovered his passion for Europe, multilingualism and culture through living in cosmopolitan Antwerp and charming Trento (Italy) for his legal studies. After he obtained the Master of Laws degree, he moved to Bruges to study EU International Relations & Diplomacy (IRD) at the College of Europe. 

Today, Stef works as an Academic Assistant at the IRD department of the College of Europe. Previously, he worked at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the EU, an international law firm and the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the UN in Geneva. In his free time, he reads a good book and discovers Brussels through walks in the many parks present in the city. When the sun re-appears and the temperatures rise, he contributes to fair and fun tennis games by operating as an (international) tennis referee.

Claudia Calore

Claudia is a young professional working in the field of European public affairs, currently experiencing the exciting Brussels bubble life. She started working in the private sector one and a half year ago, and today, after an internship in the Cabinet of Commissioner for Justice, Mr Didier Reynders, she is working in the Secretariat-General of the European Commission. Claudia holds a Master’s degree in law at the University of Trento (Italy) as well as an Advanced Master’s degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies at the College of Europe in Natolin (Poland). 

Claudia has enjoyed the beauty of being European by living and studying also in France and Ireland, experiences that allowed her to travel and discover different cultures. She speaks fluently English, French and Spanish as well as Italian, her mother tongue.

Armand Camboulives

is a Franco-Romanian young graduate working on climate and energy issues in Brussels. Born and raised in Belfort, a French medium-sized town on the border with both Switzerland and Germany, he spent all the summers of his childhood in the Carpathian Mountains, not in Dracula’s castle, but in his grandmother’s apartment. In 2014, he moved to one of the European capital, Strasbourg, to study Political Science at Sciences Po Strasbourg for five years. He also spent one year in Granada (Spain). Finally, he studied one year at the College of Europe in Natolin (Poland) in order to perfect his truly European education before heading to another European capital, Brussels, where he currently lives.

Bastien Girard

is a graduate in European Public Affairs at the College of Europe and Paris 1 Panthéon – Sorbonne. Although he has worked in Europe, Africa and Oceania, he feels very attached to the cultural and environmental heritage of the pays de Fontainebleau, where he was born. He is currently completing an internship at Euroconsult, a consulting firm specialising in space markets based in Paris. He is a candidate for the Blue Book internship at the European Commission (DGDEFIS). In parallel, he serves as Vice-President and Expert for European and International Space at 3i3s (International Independent Institute for Space and Satellite Solutions).

Through his associative, academic and professional experience, Bastien has developped a strong interest in science and technology policies. In particular, he has an unaltered passion for the European outer-space policy. Having his feet on the ground, he is enthusiastic about mobilisations around socio-technical issues and the impact of social and territorial factors in the understanding of global issues. At La Regionisto, by focusing on European regions, he aims to show that outer-space is both local and social.

Erekle Iantbelidze

is a student at the European Academy of Diplomacy and a post-graduate with advanced masters of European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe. He completed a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Philosophy at the Tbilisi State University. Erekle is committed to expanding his knowledge in foreign affairs. Particularly, to increase his practical skills in the art of diplomacy.  

Besides, he was involved in various projects and training which enabled him to become a sounder young professional. As importantly, Erekle is holding the position of vice president at the Club Alpbach Georgia and currently working at the Ringola Digital Advertising as a data analyst. Thus, the above-mentioned experiences determined his professional path and interests. Outside of his academic life, he is a passionate explorer of cultures and traditions with a particular interest in musical experiments.

Anis Issa

is the Professional Development Officer of the College of Europe in Natolin, he holds an advanced Master’s Degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the same College, and a Master’s Degree in Cultural Management from the École National Supérieur de Sciences d’Information et des Bibliothèques (ENSSIB) in Lyon. He has 10 years’ experience in international cooperation that he gained through his work in the Library of Alexandria as an International Relations Librarian, the Department of Cultural Cooperation at the French Embassy in Cairo as Head of Partnerships & Fundraise, the Swedish Institute Alexandria for EuroMed Dialogue as Media and Communication Advisor, and International Organization for Migration (the UN migration agency) as Senior Information Assistant.

He has also a special interest in the fields of religion and politics and interfaith dialogue, he participates regularly in the Peace bridges annual conference of the Community of Sant’Egidio, Med-talks annual conference of the city of Livorno and other international forums. He also publishes in the same field. Between 2013 and 2020, Anis has served as cultural advisor to H. H. Pope Tawadros II, and he has been a member of Supreme Council of Culture in Egypt between 2015 and 2018.

Anis is currently writing his PhD in the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Études, his research will focus on the impact of intersecting relationships of the Churches and states on the identity of the religious minorities in the Middle East.

Valeria Manzione

from Salerno, lives in Paris. She is content with the Seine in the absence of the Mediterranean. After a brief experience at the European Parliament, Valeria now works as a project manager at Paris 8 University. During her spare time, she watches Angela and Barbero’s videos and wonders what she wants to do when she grows up.

Subsidiarity, Committee of the Regions and European Institutions are the key words to sum up her studies. Valeria is the proud co-founder and President of the association La Regionisto.

Gwenaëlle Mercier

is currently living in Brussels and working on digital policy. Gwenaëlle was born and raised in the French Région Centre, a region where there are wheat fields as far as the eye can see, but also some beautiful Châteaux de la Loire. Although she graduated from several Universities across Europe, Gwenaëlle never misses a chance to come back to her hometown to (re)discover hidden gems of the paysages loirétains.

Francesco Miano

is a young professional currently developing expertise in the Digital Industry.

His background lies within the field of EU Studies, Political Science and Humanities. He is a recent graduate in European Interdisciplinary Studies (EU public affairs track) from the College of Europe in Natolin. Similarly, Francesco holds a double master’s degree in EU studies and Political Science awarded by Jagiellonian University & Kobe University and a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Mediation obtained from the University of Turin.

Besides, he cultivates a keen interest in journalism and academia and is currently a contributing writer to various magazines focusing on political developments in Central Eastern Europe. More precisely, he has written numerous articles and in-depth pieces pertaining to the Visegrad Group, Polish politics and European energy issues.


Anzhela Mnatsakanyan

is a political researcher focusing on the Eastern Partnership and Russia. Currently, she is a PhD student at Yerevan State University. She holds an Advanced Master’s Degree in Arts in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe in Natolin and a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Yerevan State University.

Selin Somuncu

holds an MA degree in European Interdisciplanary Studies from the College of Europe in Natolin. Born and raised in Turkey, even from a young age, she was curious about other languages and cultures. This curiosity and passion for multilingualism, led her to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Translation and Interpretation as well as a Minor Degree in Communication and Design.

 
Later at the College of Europe in Natolin, she focused on the impact of Erasmus+ exchanges on Multilingualism and European Identity for her thesis. She interested in fields such as linguistic diversity and multilingualism, linguistic and education policies, cross-cultural and strategic communication and public diplomacy.


Selin, is a passionate advocate for stray animal rights in Turkey, as well as a musical theater enthusiast. When she is not away from home, she loves hiking  with her two dogs, in the beautiful region of Cappadocia where she comes from.

Aleksandra Urbanek

is a Polish graduate student from the College of Europe (European Affairs, 2020) and University of Warsaw (French studies, 2017 & Corporate Communication, 2022).

Since childhood, she has been emotionally attached to Francophone cultures thanks to her stays in France and Belgium, where she spent nine years. During her studies, she analyzed the image of women in the troubadour poetry, as well as the national sides on Euro coins, searching for European identity in these small, flat round pieces of metal.

In her free time, she studies foreign languages, Italian and Korean. Her dream is to travel to South Korea, a country that fascinates her with its history, economic development and very rich culture.

As a big Eurovision fan, she watches the national preselections of countries, thus discovering languages and cultures from all over Europe (and Australia).

Guilherme Ursini

is originally from São Paulo, proudly holding on to his Italian roots. He holds diplomas from the College of Europe in Natolin, Collegium Civitas (Warsaw) and SciencesPo Strasbourg. Currently, he works in the sector of EU public policy consultancy in Brussels. He has living experiences in Denmark, France, Switzerland and Poland – where he had been based until 2020. During his MA, he has majored in the European Neighbourhood Policy with a focus in the Eastern Partnership, was part of the Security Society and has often contributed with La Regionisto. 

During his experiences abroad, Guilherme grew great enthusiasm about freedom of movement and regional cooperation. He does not associate his identity as stemming from one single State in particular, rather being influenced by most places and regions he has lived in. To different extents, he speaks Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, French, Danish, Polish and English.

Adam Volf

Adam is an Irish/Czech graduate of Trinity College Dublin, and the College of Europe. In his youth, his parents sent him to an Irish-speaking primary school (Gaelscoil) in the west of Ireland, leading to a lifelong passion for the preservation of Irish and other endangered languages.

As a scholar, his studies focused on a combination of languages and history, culminating with his Master’s Thesis ‘The Expulsion of ethnic Germans from Czechoslovakia post-World War II’ (2020). 
He now lives in Brussels (Belgium), where he recently completed a Schuman Traineeship in the European Parliament. He also served as General Coordinator of the Schuman Trainees’ Committee, and continues to work in the field of EU public affairs and policy.
